Just by looking at it, this model should scale easily in the slicer. (Scale up by 21.5% if my math is correct.) It may look odd, but even scaling up one axis (Y) may work too.

Thank you very much! Spent a lot of time designing and testing until it printed and felt good, so I am glad to hear that it looks good as well.

That looks really nice and elegantly simple. If I could make a suggestion though, you might want to raise the phone cradle up a bit and put a slot in the bottom so it can charge while on the stand.

I honestly never thought of that, maybe in a future model at some point. I rarely ever charge my phone on the stand, and only when it’s horizontal. But I am glad for the feedback!

I only thought of it because I bought a little stand for my phone a couple years ago and it has one, but fair enough!

Any constructive criticism is welcome and all my models allow remixes, so feel free to modify if you are so inclined.

Mostly agree but sometimes power isn’t available where you want the stand. Also, this is a pretty keen design - might be worth modifying with a simple carve out on the back to pop in a Qi charger.

Odds are your phone has a modern connector so this isn’t necessary. I replaced my pixel 3a, which I bought in September 2019, last December. Thanks to wired phone projection, I cycled its USB-C connector twice a day for 5 years and 3 months. That’s ~4,000 cycles. The connector specification calls for a 10,000 cycle lifetime.

I did have to de-lint the connector from time to time, but other than that I had no issues.

Not to say that you shouldn’t use inductive charging of course :)

That lifetime assumes a clean testing setup.

In the real world, grit and dust will work into the charging port and wear down the connectors much sooner.

Fair take. I usually don’t keep it in one place. I mostly watch long form content while I work and have never encountered the problem of my phone needing to be charged in the vertical orientation. I may implement your suggestion at a later date, but you are welcome to remix my design if you are unwilling to wait. Cheers, and thanks for the feedback!

When did you design this? I remember printing a very similar phone stand years ago. I used it for a long time, it was great!

If you posted this on Thingiverse, someone in the comments would complain about the supports being too hard to remove and the model being oriented the wrong way.
